Welcome to the HMS 5th+6th grade art studio with Mrs. Berg!
In 6th grade art, artists continue to explore the Artistic Process, Artistic Behaviors, and choice-based art education. Most artists are ready to move from moderate choice to abundant choice. In other words, students are making more choices in their learning, growth, and goals. During this transition, artists will be taking ownership and more control of their artistic goals and ideation. Once comfortable, students will present plans and develop WOW (wonderful original works of art) projects. WOW projects are inspired by research, artists, themes, Artistic Behaviors, and more. Artists will continue to explore the studio centers, engage in mini-lessons and Bootcamps, and challenge their artistic process. What is Allied Arts? Allied arts consist of art, tech. lit., and health.
How often do we have art? You will have art for one semester every-other-day
